STAAR EOC Resources
In an effort to better prepare students for their EOC exams, Carrizo Springs High School has created this list of resources as a supplement to the regular curriculum. The materials have been gathered from various platforms and are available to be used by both parents and students.

CSHS to Administer STAAR EOC Exams (updated 4/26/2021)
Carrizo Springs High School will be administering the Algebra I, Biology and U.S. History STAAR End of Course (EOC) exams the week of May 3rd as follows:
- Algebra I – Tuesday, May 4, 2021
- Biology, Sophomores (10th) – Wednesday, May 5, 2021
- Biology, Freshmen (9th) – Thursday, May 6, 2021
- U.S. History – Friday, May 7, 2021
All tests will be administered in person on the High School Campus. Students required to test for any EOC exam must report to the campus on their scheduled day by 8 am. As these exams are online, students must bring their Chromebooks and chargers to school for all testing days. Students have been notified by their teachers and/or the counseling department if they need to test.
The only students that will be allowed on campus are those who are scheduled to test. All other students will be remote learning at home on these dates. This will allow for testing rooms to have no more than 10 students per test administrator. CSHS will follow health and safety guidelines for students testing these days.
In addition, students are required to wear a face mask and face shield at all times during testing. If your student has already been issued a face shield by the school, they must bring it for testing. If they have not, one will be issued to them the day of STAAR EOC testing.
Please know that all electronic devices (including smart watches) and cell phones are strictly prohibited during STAAR testing. If a student must bring a cell phone or any electronic device to school, it will be safely secured by the test administrator and returned to your student after testing is completed at the end of the day.
Parents are reminded that passing the STAAR End of Course exams are part of graduation requirements. To help ensure your child is well prepared to take their EOC exams, make sure they eat a healthy breakfast each morning (breakfast is available at school) and that they get a good night’s sleep. It is also important for your student to arrive to school on time and that you encourage your child to do their best. Additionally, please make arrangements so that doctor or other personal appointments do not interfere with test days. Please do not come to campus to pick up your student from school unless it is an emergency. If you have any questions about EOC testing, please call the high school office at 830-876-9393.
